Make a contribution to your community and you will make new friends, learn new skills, and be a part of Victoria's largest volunteer team!
Apart from fire fighters, many people in our community can offer a wide variety of skills and interests and therefore you may be able to offer your time as a firefighter or non-operational support member.
To become volunteer CFA fire fighter, you are required to undertake a minimum skills basic fire fighting course designed to give you a working knowledge of fire fighting skills. This course is run by experienced CFA members and takes approximately 3 months before qualifying to be active on the fire ground.

We're looking for people to help with:
  • Firefighting
  • Brigade admin
  • Community education
