A charity golf day at Gisborne Golf Club organized by the Municipal Works Officers Association (MWOA) has thrown its support behind local volunteer fire fighters.
A donation of $700 was presented to Gisborne CFA by Macedon Ranges Shire Council Works Officer Kevin Keating.
“MWOA has many activities on the day and one of these activities is a fund raising hole, where we decided to donate the proceeds from this event to the Gisborne Fire Brigade.”
Lt Peter Harry thanked the MWOA for their generous support of the brigade.
“Gisborne CFA is raising funds to put towards new fire station turnout lockers to store our personal protective equipment, so this donation has come at a very opportune time.”
Over 100 golfers enjoyed a fantastic day of golf at Gisborne with attendees from across Victoria.
The M.W.O.A is a non profit association of local Government works officers and the annual charity golf day is an opportunity for members to advance their professional fellowship, and gain information and knowledge from other members.
